Today is your day to try something new!
The world of business can be a rollercoaster ride. As opposed to a regular 9-5 job, business owners battle the difficulties of making decisions every day that directly affect their income and future prosperity.
It starts with Trying
In an increasingly uncertain world, it can be more and more tempting to step back into a safe zone to protect what we have already built. That’s the wrong direction though! History shows that the people who succeed have failed as much as they have succeeded. They succeeded because they weren’t afraid to give something new a go.
Don’t be afraid to try new things, you may just succeed!
It Continues With Perseverance
Nothing started like what you see it as today. Everything great started as a little experiment… a risk… a trial… something not to be proud of. Then it grew! It grew into Amazon.com, leukemia treatment, a smartphone…
The key to all these amazing invention was just to give it a go.
But that’s not all…
Einstein is one of the top scientific minds of the last century and was around well before the PC, Internet or mobile technology changed the world. His philosophy is simple, and after hearing it for the first time as a child I have never forgotten it to this day,
Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.
In other words, never give up, keep trying. Great ideas don’t change the world by themselves.
It Culminates In Investing For The Future
Thomas Edison was competing with a lot of other inventors both from government and privately backed groups to invent the first practical light globe that would transform the world. He tried thousands of combinations before late one night in his workshop (which he shared with other inventors) he finally found a version that worked, long after everyone else had gone home.
He then went on to invest many other products that revolutionised the modern age and gave birth to many great companies. It all started from being willing to try and never giving up.
So get out there, and give something – that thing you have been thinking about doing – a try. If you fail the first time – which you probably will – give it another go. What do you have to lose?
What will you try new this week? What have tried in the past? Did it fail or succeed? Tell me how your efforts are going by leaving a comment below.
